Château Lagrange

Château Lagrange has 118 hectares planted with vines and is located in Saint-Julien, in the Bordeaux region. It was ranked 3^rd Grand Cru Classé in the classification of 1855. The Japanese group Suntory, under the leadership of its chairman Keizo Saji, acquired the estate in 1983. Today a new tandem, Matthieu Bordes and Keiichi Shiina, continues the development.

This 2012 vintage reveals a very promising dark garnet colour, a complex and harmonious bouquet of sweet spices and small red fruits, underlined by a fine woody line with empyreumatic tones: the approach is impeccable. Soft in attack, the palate releases fresh notes of spices and fruits that echo the olfaction, before the wood spreads its vanilla accents within a large and fleshy material, structured by silky tannins. The long finish, intense and velvety, leaves the memory of a wine already very harmonious and promised for a long time.
