Cru Bourgeois
From a Médoc family for many generations, Pierre Bibey acquired the Château Labadie in 1970. His son, Jérôme Bibey, took over the management and developed the surface area to reach more than 70 hectares today. Château Labadie has, over time, been able to structure itself and offer new perspectives while remaining respectful of the environment.
This 1996 vintage features a dense, black color. The nose is fine and delicate with notes of fresh fruit, licorice. This wine is complex and superb. The attack is fresh with a lot of elegance, a beautiful balance between the nascent wood and the bright and fine fruit. On the palate, the finish is tasty with a hint of licorice.
Gold Medal 1998 at the Concours Générale Agricole de Paris.
