Pauillac Grand Cru Classé

Château Batailley

2015

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

Located south-west of the town of Pauillac, the castle Batailley dates from the mid-nineteenth century. Its name refers to a battle between French and English that took place on its soil. This estate belongs to the Castéja family, which has other great wines. Today, it is Philippe Castéja who heads the Château Batailley. And to ensure the long-term quality of wines, he is advised by oenologist Denis Dubourdieu.

Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (77%), Merlot (20%) and Petit Verdot (3%), this 2015 vintage is dark and intense. The nose combines mineral notes with fruity fragrances, through aromas of fresh blackberries and raspberries. The palate reveals an intense aromatic concentration and a beautiful balance.

Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château Batailley 2015 rated 94/100.
