Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin

The Vintage 2002 from Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin is a blend based on 17 Grands and Premiers Crus (60% Pinot Noir, 33% Chardonnay, and 7% Pinot Meunier) located in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, the most prestigious terroirs of Champagne.

The 2002 harvest was excellent. This champagne has a beautiful liveliness, a pale gold dress with reflections of silver, with a lively and persistent effervescence. On the nose, we discover an open champagne, pure and complex, with floral notes of acacia. By letting this vintage 2002 open a little, we discover notes of yellow flesh fruits and brioche, before some sweet spice aromas appear. On the palate, this wine is silky and generous. The promises made by the nose are kept and even exceeded, with complex fruity, floral, mineral, spicy and toasted aromas. This vintage 2002 is at its peak, it develops complexity and aromatic richness.
