Naturally fresh and late because crossed by very fresh groundwater and rich in magnesium, the Maranges 1er Cru “Les Roussouts” is a demanding terroir that deserves all the know-how of the winemaker to have vines in perfect balance. This 1999 vintage presents a beautiful dark color with purple reflections. It offers a bouquet first slightly smoky and oaky, mixed with ripe red fruits, a great nose of Pinot ! While in filigree are juxtaposed more spicy and viandate notes. The palate is intense and the notes of marinade are more present, it is carefully framed by a fine tannic structure with the typical earthy taste of clays of this climate.
