La Grappe des Papes

Both producer and merchant, the Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné was founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet. It then passed into the hands of his sons Paul and Henry, before being transmitted from generation to generation. In January 2006, the Frey family, winemaker from Champagne and owner of Château La Lagune in Bordeaux, took over the house Paul Jaboulet Aîné.

This vintage 2000 combines intensity and refinement, revealing all the nobility of the terroir. This wine seduces with its expressive bouquet, where juicy black fruits rub shoulders with deep notes of spices, garrigue and liquorice. The palate is full, structured by tannins of great finesse, offering a perfect balance between power and freshness. Its remarkable length, marked by nuances of cocoa and a saline touch, marks a high-quality wine, designed to survive the decades. An exceptional cuvée that stands out as a must of the vintage.
