Les Cassines

Both producer and merchant, the Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné was founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet. It then passed into the hands of his sons Paul and Henry, before being passed down from generation to generation. In January 2006, the Frey family, winemaker from Champagne and owner of Château La Lagune in Bordeaux, took over the house Paul Jaboulet Aîné.

Condrieu “Les Cassines” takes its name from the picturesque fishermen’s houses along the Rhône, reflecting its historical link with the commercial port and river industry of the region.

Exclusively made from Viognier grapes coming from the steep granite slopes of the village. The Robe of this 2012 vintage is crystalline with green hues. One feels, in this wine, floral notes of violet and lily of the valley but also fruity aromas of candied apricot. The attack is fresh and mineral with a beautiful staying power. A wine of great balance. Great length with a lot of elegance, during the tasting.
