Mouton Cadet – Baron Philippe de Rothschild

Created in 1930 by the legendary Baron Philippe de Rothschild, a wine-grower and poet, Mouton Cadet combines the Bordeaux tradition of blending with the values of authenticity and excellence that have always made the Rothschild family proud. It thus brings together, in an elegant blob of flavours, several great appellations from the Bordeaux region planted with noble grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

This 2019 vintage is the result of the blending of several appellations from the Bordeaux region. Each terroir has been selected by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, bringing to Mouton Cadet, a unique typicality. It is powerful and generous, with a very pretty garnet. On the nose it is intense and subtle with notes of black fruits. On the palate, the attack reveals subtle notes of ripe black fruit and spices, giving way to beautiful toasted notes on the finish.
