Maison Patriarche Père & Fils

The reputation of the Maison Patriarche Père & Fils has been built up over the centuries, since its creation by Jean-Baptiste Patriarche. Installed in Beaune from 1780, the acquisition of the convent is done on August 23, 1796. At the time, he acquired the Convent of the Visitandines, an ideal place to establish his wine trade with its galleries located under the conventual buildings. Thanks to the purchase of neighboring cellars and their communication, the Maison Patriarche Père & Fils has created “the largest underground cellars in Burgundy” several kilometers long. Nowadays, the headquarters is still located in this mythical place.

The village of Lugny produces very sought-after whites, with a beautiful richness and an astonishing aromatic profile.

This 2018 vintage sports a golden yellow color with green highlights, clear and brilliant. It develops aromas of pear, linden, white peach and this hint of honey that is characteristic of it. The palate is rich, slightly fat and is highlighted by its flavors of white fruits, vanilla as well as a beautiful sensation of a certain minerality. It’s quite pleasurable and this pleasure continues with a beautiful persistence.
