Grande Cuvée – 170^ème Édition

The House of Krug was founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug, a visionary and passionate man. It holds a unique library in the world consisting of more than 150 reserve wines, some of which are over 15 years old. With more than 250 different plots including the prestigious Clos du Mesnil and the Clos d’Ambonnay, Maison Krug holds a heritage of exceptional vines in Champagne.

Krug Grande Cuvée was born from the dream of a man, Joseph Krug, who wanted to offer, each year, the best possible champagne, regardless of climatic hazards.

Created around the 2014 harvest, Krug “Grande Cuvée – 170ème Édition” is a blend of 195 wines from 12 different years, the youngest dating back to 2014 and the oldest from 1998. This cuvée is adorned with a pale gold color dress and moves with fine bright bubbles, promises of an incomparable pleasure. Aromas of flowers, ripe, candied and dried citrus fruits, as well as almond paste and gingerbread stimulate the nose. Notes of hazelnut, nougat, barley sugar, fruit and citrus jelly, almonds, brioche and honey explode in the mouth.
