La part du seigneur

Founded in 1872, the Albert Besombes trading house is a leader in the whole of the Loire Valley and worldwide. Over the years, Albert Besombes has developed its presence in the vineyard through historic partnerships, some of which have been established several generations ago.

In the Middle Ages, a quarter of the wines produced in the village of Chaume were reserved for the lord who chose the best barrels, Hence the name of this appellation which produces legendary sweet white wines.

The Chenin grape variety gives this 2011 vintage all the quintessence of a sweet wine. Rich golden colour with mineral-dominant aromas, intense notes of dried and candied fruit. In the mouth, this wine is suave with a creaminess of a fabulous magnitude.
