L’Héritage de Chasse Spleen

Since the 2001 vintage, L’Ermitage de Chasse-Spleen has become L’Héritage de Chasse-Spleen. Second wine of the Château Chasse-Spleen, which is located mainly south-east of the gravelly rump of Grand Poujeaux.

Composed of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot, this 2007 vintage has many similarities with its big brother, a powerful wine, rich and typical of the best wines of the Medoc.  Hand harvest, controlled fermentation and aging in traditional oak barrels bring this characteristic, a velvety and warm wine.
The 2007 vintage is a marvel. It is perfectly open. On the nose, smoky and plum notes dominate. In the mouth, the wine is full-bodied with beautiful fine tannins. The length in the mouth is incredible, the finish is long and tasty.
