This wine was produced by Château Luchey-Halde, property of Bordeaux Sciences Agro, École Nationale Supérieure des Sciences Agronomiques de Bordeaux-Aquitaine.
The Haldes de Luchey is a blended wine from the following grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Merlot (35%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Petit Verdot (5%).
This 2003 vintage has intense red fruit aromas (blackcurrant, raspberry, cherry stone) and spicy notes. In the mouth, the attack is supple with peppery notes present. The mouth is round, the tannins are silky. There are notes of fresh fruit in the middle of the mouth. A woody touch on the finish carried by a nice tannic weft.
It is a fruity, powerful, intense and complex wine that has a very good aging ability.
