Cuvée Offerus

The Chave family has been established in Rhone viticulture for several centuries, thanks to a local lord who had granted it land at the end of the 15th century, so much so that they can claim to have been winemakers from father to son since 1481. Son of Gérard, Jean-Louis Chave, represents the 16th generation of the family at the head of the estate on the mythical hill of l’Hermitage… and continues to launch challenges seeking to perpetuate a style faithful to the ancestral practices that have forged the domain’s fame, wines renowned for their balance, their great finesse, their length and their superb ageing potential.

This 2018 vintage displays aromas of blackcurrant, black pepper, anise and tobacco. The mouth is full, the tannins are silky and the wine reveals a beautiful persistence.
