Before the phylloxera, the vineyard of Chassagne-Montrachet produced only red wines, with the exception of a few acres and the famous Montrachet, classified separately. Currently, about half of the vineyard is planted with Chardonnay and produces great white wines.

The 65 hectares of vineyards of the Domaine Roux Père & Fils are located in Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. The Bourgognes Blancs come from the best climates of the Domaine. They are rich and complex wines, tailored for ageing.

This 2012 vintage presents a slightly golden colour with a rather intense nose of flowers, warm croissant or brioche and candied lemon, evolving over time to nuances of roasted hazelnuts and spices. The flavor is frank, combining freshness and character, sap and finesse. The long persistence leaves the palate on floral and gingerbread notes.
