Domaine René Bouvier

2004

Bottle (0,75L)
White
Dry

The Domaine was created in 1910 by Henri Bouvier and then taken over by René in 1950 which enlarged it to reach 12 ha in 1991. The Domain was then installed on Marsannay. Today, the estate is located in Brochon, north of Gevrey-Chambertin and covers 18 hectares, spread over 20 prestigious appellations in Burgundy.

In the vineyard, an invaluable heritage of very old vines dot the plots of these exceptional terroirs. They constitute the treasure of the estate that Bernard Bouvier strives to preserve by a viticulture respectful of soils and biodiversity.

Over the years, the Domaine René Bouvier has become one of the most exciting estates of the Côte de Nuits by the quality, consistency and pleasure that wines provide. By dint of reflection and questioning, Bernard Bouvier has succeeded in transcribing in his wines all the grace of Chardonnay which is expressed here with emotion and length.

This 2004 vintage has a pale yellow colour. The nose is refined and evokes a delicate woody character (toast, oak wood, toast, smoky) and aromas of dried fruits (hazelnut) and white fruits (yellow apple, pear). On the palate, this wine has a lot of character. It is dry, rich, with fat and fullness.
