Monbazillac

Domaine Pierre Chanau

2001

Bottle (0,75L)
White
Mellow

This wine from Domaine Pierre Chanau is only found in the supermarkets of the Auchan group. And for good reason: CHANAU = AUCHAN. Behind this anagram lies the Auchan group’s private label. Similarly, when you buy “Highfield” whisky, it is also the brand Auchan, Highfield can be translated as “high fields” and therefore Auchan.

This 2001 vintage is powerful and greasy, offering wild flower honey aromas. It is also more alcoholic than the Sauternes and requires long years of aging before reaching the fullness of its expressions.

This wine nevertheless remains a pleasant wine offering a very good quality/price ratio.
