Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru

Domaine Pierre André

1994

Bottle (0,75L)
White
Dry

It all started in 1923, when Pierre André literally fell under the charm of Château de Corton and the hill that gives its name to several Grands Crus. Today, Pierre André owns 4 hectares of vines around the hill, including several plots in Grand Cru, and it produces wines from grapes purchased on about 100 hectares.

With Pierre André, the notion of terroir borders on the sacred! And it is the same for all its appellations: an extreme knowledge of each plot, hours and hours spent in the vineyards without counting, an attention without limit, a breeding of the noblest.

This terroir is renowned for producing powerful white wines due to the very sunny exposure of the hillside but also refined and pure, both aromatic and gustatory. This 1994 vintage reveals a bouquet of great complexity with notes of white and yellow fruits, citrus and exotic fruits mixed with subtle spicy touches, mineral and buttered, evolving towards honey after all these years of aging. On the palate, it is characterized by a remarkable concentration, perfect balance and great distinction. Its finish is intense and remarkably long.
