Domaine Michel Noëllat

The estate was created in the 19th century in Vosne-Romanée by Félix Noëllat. Six generations later, the Michel Noëllat estate has become a reference in Burgundy with fine wines very sought after by amateurs in Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Alain and Jean-Marc Noëllat were joined by their children, Sébastien and Sophie. The estate exploits 27 hectares in the pure tradition of the great wines of Burgundy. Domaine Michel Noëllat produces red and white wines of Burgundy respecting the ancestral know-how. In total, about twenty appellations, most around the cradle of the estate, in Vosne-Romanée, on the Côte de Nuits, very great terroirs that give great wines of generous and refined aging.

This 2011 vintage is wonderful and at the top of quality. Its color is a very deep red and the aromatic intensity is remarkable. Very fragrant notes intermingle such as black and red fruits like cherry, redcurrant and raspberry. Longer, the aromas of undergrowth and violet are revealed, synonymous with the irreproachable quality of this wine. On the palate, it is both elegant, powerful and full of finesse, with a perfect balance between roundness and acidity. This Clos de Vougeot can easily age 20 years.
