The Domaine Marquis d’Angerville is a family estate created in 1804 by the Baron du Mesnil who acquires the Clos des Ducs, a property located in Volnay and the surrounding plots (Taillepieds, Caillerets and Champans). The great-grandson of Baron du Mesnil, the Marquis d’Angerville, took over the vineyard and restored it by planting pinot noir. He will be the first to bottle his production at the property and sell directly the fruit of his work. Upon his death in 2003, he left a beautifully kept vineyard, reference wines, and a true philosophy of the great wines of Burgundy.
