The Domaine Les Grandes Costes extends over 14 hectares. At the helm, Jean-Christophe Granier, a former wine press journalist, takes over the family property dating from 1868 to the year 2000. Located at the foot of the foothills of the Cévennes, and present today on several appellations: AOP Pic Saint Loup, Languedoc, IGP Saint Guilhem le Désert. In a setting of scrubland, between mountain and sea, Jean-Christophe Granier is committed to producing “Signature” wines, made with respect for the environment and faithful to the terroir.
This 2019 vintage sports a beautiful dark purple color with violine highlights. The nose is exuberant and with marked originality, raspberry, gooseberry, morello, black pepper, tapenade, garrigue and a hint of iodine. The palate is rich, mineral, aromatic (black cherries, blackberries, spices). The pure and tenacious finish is carried by a beautiful freshness and tight and silky tannins.
