Le Rochoy – Organic wine

Domain of 30 hectares dating from 1850, the Domaine Laporte is located in the Sancerre appellation in the Loire Valley. Since 1986, the estate has been in the hands of the Bourgeois family. The estate attaches unparalleled importance to its terroir and cultivates its land with the utmost respect. It has been certified organic since 2013.

The Rochoy is a unique hillside in Sancerre. It was once a Gallo-Roman quarry called “Rochetum”. The flint stones that litter the ground accumulate heat during the day and return it at night. The basement, composed of flint gives this cuvée all its minerality. The maturation of the grapes is fast and gives an exceptional white Sancerre.

This 2021 vintage comes from a fragmented selection and the terroir of Silex stands out wonderfully, especially on the nose but the palate is of a nobility distinguished by a caressing style, notes of citrus and white flowers.
