Domaine Jean Manciat

Jean Manciat represents the third generation of winemakers on these family lands. Formerly destined for local trade, wines are now sold directly, with 50% of the volume exported.

This appellation, very representative of the heart of the range of Domaine Jean Manciat, includes only parcels of vines located on the best slopes of the Charnay sector.

This 2003 vintage presents a beautiful dark ruby color with purplish reflections. The nose is typified gamay, grape preferred to pinot noir in this region, on primary aromas of red fruits such as cherry, sometimes we detect a side English candy. This wine reveals notes of undergrowth and kernel. The palate is charming, simple but sweet and very pleasant, its structure is present and crunchy fruit.
