In 1964, a Swiss family business called Schenk, specialized in the wine trade, acquired it and registered the Henri de Villamont brand. The trading activity is booming, up to twenty million bottles per year. Benefiting from a bad image, the field changes strategy in 2004. Trading ceased and the annual production was reduced to 350,000 bottles.
This 2014 vintage presents a ruby color with garnet reflections. The elegant nose offers a powerful bouquet of red fruits. The palate is full-bodied with soft tannins of a slight acidity that ends with a beautiful length.
