La Maison Amadieu was founded in 1929 and remained family-owned: Pierre Amadieu, settled in 1989, his uncle and his cousins. She selects parcels for her trade and manages two properties: Domaine Grand Romane and Domaine La Machotte in the Gigondas appellation, of which she is the largest producer with 137 ha of vines.
40 ha on the slopes, culminating at more than 400m altitude in the heart of the Dentelles de Montmirail massif make up the Grand Romane estate.
An intoxicating harmony of old vines of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah, pledge of complex aromas, power and distinction. In this 2020 vintage, the peppery spices swirl with the black candied fruits. The terroir is fully expressed between silky tannins, notes of garrigue and black olive. The ample and creamy structure reveals a real finesse and a beautiful aging potential. Aged 18 months old in barrels and foudres.
