Beaune Premier Cru

Domaine Germain Gilbert et Philippe

2017

Bottle (0,75L)

Dry

En L’orme Monopole

Gilbert Germain created the farm in 1962 with his wife Bernadette in the picturesque village of Nantoux, Hautes-Côtes. Philippe, the son, took over in 1995, started the sale in bottles and developed the plot: his vineyard now covers 20 ha.

At 300 m at the top of the vineyard of Beaune and very close to Savigny, this 1st rcru of 2 ha in monopoly gave in 2017 a particularly solid wine, on candied fruits and toasted oak with olfaction, very tannic in the mouth. A muscular beaune that should be put in the cellar.
