Organic Wine.
Located in the heart of Anjou, Domaine Leroux has been operating 12 hectares of organic vineyards since 1964. The wines produced are known for their high quality.
The name of Gérard LEROUX is closely associated with the history of organic farming in France. As early as 1958, with a few other “pioneers”, convinced like him of the need to preserve health through a healthy diet and to preserve the soil, he converted all his land. After six years of hard work (that was the period required at the time), he obtained organic certification in 1964. The Gérard Leroux estate is thus one of the oldest French vineyards in organic farming.
This 1984 vintage is fine, smooth and of great complexity. Composed of 100% of the Chenin Blanc grape variety, the grapes harvested by successive tris once the noble rot perfectly developed. It has a beautiful pale gold colour, sometimes green, with aromas of peach, apricot, honey and acacia. In the mouth, it is round and supple. Its ageing capacity is exceptional.
