François Chauvenet, born in 1802, inherited a family know-how. When he founded his trading house in 1853, he named it F. Chauvenet in tribute to his mother, Françoise, who taught him everything. Particular attention is paid to the elaboration and ageing of the wines. With passion and rigor, the wines are aged according to tradition.

The 2009 vintage has a deep purple color. On the nose, we find rose and licorice. On the palate, the aromas are powerful and rich, on red fruits (cherry, strawberry and cassis) with notes of leather and truffle that testifies that it is ripe. The finish is round and vigorous with tannins well present and racy.
