Belissand

Established in 1936, this appellation has 42 Climats classified as Premier Cru. The climate “Bélissand” has its origin from the Gallic goddess of fire but also from the sources, Bélisama. In the spring, groundwater gushes to the surface.

This 2011 vintage reveals a deep ruby color with garnet reflections, revealing a wine at the same time powerful and elegant. The nose is intense and refined, mixing aromas of ripe red fruits (cherry, raspberry) with more complex notes of undergrowth, sweet spices, and a subtle touch of vanilla. On the palate, this wine is generous and structured, with fine and well-integrated tannins.  The finish is long and elegant, marked by a fresh acidity and a beautiful persistence.
