The trading house was born in Monthélie, in 1831, under the impetus of Bernard Bichot and will experience a rapid growth during the 19^th century by becoming the official supplier of the Court of Sweden. Albert Bichot has taken over the reins of the company since 1996, perpetuating the family heritage with the right dose of modernity. Today, it manages more than 100 hectares of vineyards, spread from the north to the south of Burgundy, and grouped into 6 prestigious estates. Respect for the terroir, perfect control of vinifications, Albert Bichot wines are carriers of an emotion, a philosophy that make the House one of the greatest names in Burgundy.

The Domaine du Clos Frantin is located in Nuits-Saint-Georges in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, a land of Pinot Noir and the rarest and most prestigious appellations. It covers 13.2 hectares, of which 3.9 are Premiers and Grands Crus.

This 2009 vintage surprises by the quality of its aromatic notes of ripe red and black fruits sitting on the oak and spice. The brightness of youth (bright ruby) has given way, with age, has a dark carmine hue. Over the years have appeared animal notes, musk and fur. It is a great gourmet wine, velvety, silky and structured.
