The House was created in 1932 by Désiré Petit. In 1970, Gérard and Marcel, the children of Désiré took over the farm which had a little less than 1.5 ha of vines. But the love of work and their motivation pushed them to invest significantly in order to develop the field. Today, they manage a vineyard of 27 ha spread over 2 different geographical appellations: Arbois and Château-Chalon.
This 1999 vintage reveals a deep, golden, bright and slightly amber color. Aging has conferred a rich and evolved color, announcing a complex sensory experience. At the first olfactory contact, the bouquet opens with captivating aromas. The notes of fresh nuts, acacia honey and candied fruits subtly mingle with shades of chamomile and beeswax. The nose evokes a spring garden, with an unexpected freshness for a wine of this age. Tasting reveals a remarkable harmony. The silky texture caresses the palate, while flavors of poached pear, roasted almonds and light spices gradually unfold on the palate. A lively and well-integrated acidity adds a vibrant dimension to the whole, leading to a persistent and deliciously salty finish.
