Cour Cheverny

Domaine des Huards

2004

Bottle (0,75L)
White
Dry

Cuvée François 1er

The Domaine des Huards, directed by Jocelyne and Michel Gendrier, represented one of the emblematic figures of this appellation. The estate leads a viticulture and a biodynamic vinification.

Romorantin is the unique grape variety of the wines of Cour-Cheverny which undeniably deserves to be discovered and appreciated.

The 2004 vintage is, to say the least, surprising. Its color is slightly golden. At the opening, it appears closed, retracted with shades of honeysuckle, but it will very quickly flourish. On the nose appear menthol flavors, dry grass, dandelion flower and beeswax. On the palate, the attack is smooth, then the wine explodes with a strong minerality and an aromatic festival of sweet butter, angelica, green nuts and exotic fruits. The balance between tactile finesse and power, as well as the fresh, mineral, racy persistence, are impressive.

Decidedly, this wine is unlike any other !
