The Domaine de Montgilet was created in the 1880s, and now owned by the Lebreton family. The estate enjoys a well-established national reputation today, bringing ever more care to the production of its wines. The Domaine de Montgilet produces mainly wines in the Coteaux de l’Aubance appellation, from a selection of noble rot, declined in five cuvées depending on the sugar content of the tris and their parcel provenances.
This 2017 vintage does not seek the concentration of sugars but freshness. The balance between sugar, acidity and minerality is remarkable. It is an elegant wine, without heaviness, which envelops a greedy fruity. Nose notes of white flowers and a whole bouquet of fruit: quince jelly, candied apricots, passion fruit, pineapple on honey background, candied fruit. The palate is balanced and very fresh.
