Maranges sur le Chêne

Located at the southern gate of the Côte de Beaune, Domaine Chevrot consists of a vineyard of 20 ha on 15 Appellations d’Origine Contrôlée. The vines are 30 years old on average, the oldest vine planted by the Grand-Père 75 years ago, testifies to the care taken to viticulture both in terms of yield control and respect for the terroir (soil maintenance and integrated vineyard protection).

This 1997 vintage unfolds its sarabande of red fruits and liquorice, punctuated with the agitation of more smoky and spicy notes of fennel and jasmine. The palate is greedy redcurrants and morello cherries, fleshy and lively. Its fine mouth is based on the tannin structure that signs the wines of Maranges. This wine is dense and pulpy with a beautiful structure that will hold it for two decades. It promises a harmonious development.
