Domaine Chantal Lescure

Pommard 1er Cru – Les Bertins – Organic wine

Founded in 1975, the Chantal Lescure estate is a family property that now belongs to their two sons: Aymeric and Thibault Machard de Gramont. It was in 1996, the date of Chantal Lescure’s death, that Aymeric took over, rethinking the whole organization of the farm and in particular the way of working the vines. This directed the vineyard towards agrobiology in 1997 and subsequently certified it as organic (since 2009).

Owner-harvester on 19 hectares of vineyards, the farm extends on the coast of Nuits and the coast of Beaune, north on the slopes of Dijon and south to Meursault. The wines are appreciated for their finesse, the powerful tannins of the reds deserve a few years of aging to integrate a little better.

This 2014 vintage unveils a pretty ruby red color from which black fruit notes emerge, complemented by those slightly toasted, specific to aging. With a well deserved guard, it will gain in aromas of leather, cocoa and game and its material will be refined while gaining momentum.
