La Justice
The history of the estate begins in 1960 when Antonin Guyon decided to acquire plots. He chooses plots on the Gold Coast from Gevrey-Chambertin to Meursault. 10 years later, his son Dominique, manages to complete the estate by bringing together a total of 350 plots on more than 50 hectares and who leads it with the precious help of Vincent Nicot, cellar master and head of culture. Together, they ensure the smooth running of winemaking and thus work to express their fabulous terroirs.
For the little anecdote: the name of the place called “La Justice” kept in memory the place where the execution of criminals took place in the Middle Ages. ‘Justice’, in ancient French, referred to the gallows, place of judicial executions…
This vintage 2008 is characterized by a deep ruby color, with subtle purple highlights. Very elegant, the nose unfolds on ripe black fruits with floral evocations of violet and a delicate spicy touch that crowns the whole. The attack is supple and velvety, with an always greedy consistency, alert vivacity and a nice viscosity. This very elegant wine perfectly translates the fine expression of Gevrey-Chambertin, a true model.
