Located in the heart of the prestigious Côte de Nuits, the Domaine Sigaut is today managed with a master’s hand by Anne and Hervé Sigaut who have only one leitmotiv: to promote the exceptional terroirs they hold in Chambolle-Musigny, an appellation renowned for its elegance and somewhat feminine profile. The key to their secret? Knowing how to live with their time without sinking into the excess of new technologies. Their proximity to the land allows them to always respect it in order to draw from it its substantial value.

This cuvée of Chardonnay comes from a plot of Puligny-Montrachet, on the climate “Les Enseignères” next to one of the most beautiful Grands Crus of Burgundy: Batard-Montrachet! The micro-plot of 20 ares was acquired by Domaine Sigaut in 1994.

This 2021 vintage reveals a golden color, sustained, with green and silver hues. On the nose, we note gourmet and floral aromas: hawthorn, hazelnut, almond paste, all enhanced with exotic notes of kumquat and pink grapefruit. On the palate, it is a beautiful balance between freshness and minerality of the terroir, but also more buttery notes and honey. Precise and persistent, it is a wine of great complexity !
