Denis et Didier Berthollier

The Denis and Didier Berthollier estate extends over 10.5 ha of limestone scree soil in the town of Chignin. The two brothers took over the family estate and added two perfectly exposed plots for which they had a crush.

The estate offers white wines and red wines from local grape varieties of Savoie. Bergeron (Roussanne) and Highness reign supreme for white wines, Mondeuse for red wines.

The cuvée Exception is a blend of 4 different terroirs, 4 parcels scattered over three communes claiming the appellation «Chignin-Bergeron». The 2020 vintage has a brilliant golden yellow colour. The nose reveals aromas of candied fruits (dried apricot, honey, white peach), citrus and exotic fruits. It also gives off spicy, smoky notes. The palate is full and powerful supported by a lot of fat, freshness and a beautiful minerality.
