Second wine of the prestigious 1st Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion – Château La Gaffelière – Clos La Gaffelière offers a beautiful expression of the terroir of Saint-Émilion. Superbly located, it enjoys an exceptional vineyard with 38 hectares of vineyards located at the foot of the coast.

Made from a blend of Merlot (85%) and Cabernet Franc (15%), the 2018 vintage rewards all the efforts made by the Château’s technical teams to give the best of this challenging vintage. With its pretty nose of black fruits with fine floral nuances, the wine opens on a fresh and tonic attack. The palate is dense and rich with a crunchy fruity. A touch of freshness energizes the beautiful finish. A marvel that will last at least 20 years, but that already belongs to the lineage of the great Gaffelière !
