Saint Julien Grand Cru Classé

Château Talbot

1994

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

Owned by the Cordier estates, Château Talbot has always been considered the twin brother of Château Gruaud Larose. Located north of it, Talbot adjoins the vineyards of Léoville Poyferré. Its vast vineyard in one piece rests on gravel in the limestone basement.

Coming from a blend with a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon (67%), this 1994 vintage has a beautiful frame, supple with a good vigor typical of the terroir. It reveals a deep ruby color and a remarkable nose on red and black fruits. On the palate, it is a great pleasure, full of flavors and finesse.

Robert Parker gave it a rating of 85/100 in 1997.
