Château Taillefer

The wine of Château Taillefer tells a story, that of its terroir and the family that has cultivated it for a century.

At the beginning of the 20th century, many Corréziens left the poverty of their region to settle in the libournais. They buy wineries and quickly make them known around the world. Antoine Moueix is one of them. Once his wine business was established, he decided to become a winemaker. For his first acquisition, he chose Château Taillefer in 1923. Château Taillefer was entrusted to the 5th generation in 2013. Guardians of this exceptional site, they strive to preserve it while leading it to excellence. They are committed to developing a great Pomerol wine and to revealing its personality vintage after vintage.

This 2003 vintage is on balance. It offers a soft tannic frame, aromas of red fruits (raspberry, cassis, blackberry) and woody notes (clove, cocoa bean, smoky). The nose expresses with delicacy. It is an elegant wine and rests on a beautiful structure without opulence.
