Château Suau, classified as the Second Grand Cru Classé de Barsac in 1855, has been in the Biarnes family since 1962. Their first task was to replant the vines, which they did in 1963. Thus they saw the 7 hectares of vines, now sixty years old, be improved.
The current owner, Corinne Biarnes, daughter of the buyer, was born in these vineyards. She even gives a small anecdote: young, she bathed in the freshly squeezed sauvignon from one of her neighbors. That is to say if she has in the blood the liquoreux in general and the Barsac in particular.
This 2001 vintage is rich in liqueur, very aromatic and perfectly balanced. It develops aromas of exotic fruits and citrus on the nose and mouth. Over the years, it is adorned with notes of saffron and bitter orange jam. It is a great wine that has aged with grace and is ready to drink.
