Château Sociando Mallet

It is a very successful wine. Undoubtedly the best of the uncategorized crus of the Haut Médoc appellation, although it is not a Cru Classé because of its late creation and it is no longer an exceptional Cru Bourgeois by choice. It is a Haut Médoc apart, a wine out of classification, a pearl of connoisseurs. Today, the vineyard extends over 83 hectares around the castle. This Château Sociando Mallet 2018 is no exception to the rule and is a wonderful blend wine.

This 2018 vintage pays tribute to the arrival of Jean Gautreau at the head of the property 50 years ago. On this occasion the Château Sociando-Mallet 2018 is adorned with a special label, dedicated to the person who took her to her current level, a visionary person who managed to create a unique identity, “neither cru bourgeois, nor classified”.

On the nose, complex aromas of cassis, dark chocolate and leather with notes of vanilla and cloves. A structured and straight mouth, with a lot of freshness, depth and a well integrated woody. It has a beautiful aging ability. We will discover its full potential with a little patience !
