Château Prieuré Lichine

4^th Grand Cru Classé in 1855, the Château Prieuré-Lichine, presents all the typicity of the superb appellation Margaux, located on the left bank of the Bordeaux region. The Château du Prieuré de Cantenac becomes the Château Prieuré-Lichine following its acquisition by the charismatic Alexis Lichine, the «Pope of wine» in 1951. Upon his death in 1989, his son Sacha took over the reins of the estate until 1999, when it became part of the Ballande group.

A very beautiful vintage 2016 not to be missed !

From a blend of grape varieties whose vines are on average 30 years old, composed of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. this vintage 2016 is particularly remarkable with a very nice concentration. He is dressed in a deep red robe, his nose releases aromas of blackberry, blueberry and violet.
The palate is moderately full-bodied with firm tannins with aromas of black fruit, graphite and smoke.
