In 1959, at the age of 50, Pierre Papin acquired the Château Pierre Bise. In 1974, his son Claude decided to return and settle on the 9 hectares of land he was going to gradually expand, especially at the end of the 80s with the resumption of the vines of hisfather on Rochefort, Chaume and Quarts-de-Chamme. Today the vineyard reaches a current area of 50 ha with the takeover of plots including the Savennières Roche aux Moines.
This 2016 vintage reveals an intense yellow with golden highlights. On the nose, it presents notes of raisins and dried fruits. The palate is powerful, concentrated, oily, of infinite complexity. A very good balance predisposing it to age for several decades.
