This cru takes its name from Abbé Bridane, who, at the end of the Ancien Régime, was parish priest of Saint-Laurent-du-Médoc while operating a mill in Reignac (now Saint-Julien). Favourable to the ideas of the Revolution, the clergyman continued to exercise his ministry and his flour-making activity. Owned by Bruno Saintout, whose family has been rooted in Saint-Laurent-Médoc since the 18th century, the Château Moulin de la Bridane covers 15 hectares.
The bouquet of this 2004 vintage is dense and complex, of a good intensity that evokes the fruit of the ripe Cabernet Sauvignon, with a very delicate woody note that participates in the aromatic harmony without dominating excessively. We find in the tasting the brightness of the aromatic sensations revealed in the bouquet; they give this wine a remarkable sap and length in the mouth. We appreciate the richness of constitution and the sensations of fullness and finesse that the tasting reveals.
