This wine was made by Château Saint Jacques Calon. For five generations in the family, it is located on one of the highlights of the region, thus benefiting from a good exhibition. It is located not far from the Calon mills, which probably gave this name to this cuvée several times selected in the Hachette Wine Guide.
The 1993 vintage, aged in oak cask, is dressed in an intense purple colour with ruby reflections, and gives to the agitation of pleasant scents of red fruits and toasted wood evoking mocha. It is a rich, powerful and harmonious wine that requires at least 20 years of cellar to be tasted at its peak.
