Dominique Raimond is the owner of several castles in the Blayais and the Bourgeais: Château Montfollet is one of the spearheads of the appellation. It is part of the very qualitative cooperative of Cars (1937), renamed in 2011 «Châteaux Solidaires», which vinifies separately the harvests of a dozen member castles, very carefully selected.
The barrique cuvée of the property offers power, sweetness and fruit, with the support of melted tannins, which tighten a little in the finish. A good balance of the whole for this 2016 vintage.
