The Lynch-Moussas Castle is in the 18th century, like the Lynch-Bages Castle, the property of the famous family of Irish origin Lynch. The 62-hectare vineyard is planted with 75% cabernet sauvignon and 25% merlot. The Castéja family acquired this castle at the beginning of the 20th century. It was not until 1970 that Émile Castéja inherited and managed the company. Since 2001, his son, Philippe Castéja, has taken over the reins of the properties on the left bank.
This 2007 vintage reveals a very intense color, dark garnet red. This wine charms by the complexity of its nose, revealing delicate aromas of stone fruits, precious woods, truffles and pencil. The full mouth, with a beautiful structure and silky tannins complete the olfactory effect. A great wine at maturity.
Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château Lynch Moussas 2007 rated 86/100.
