Château Lieujean is a beautiful property, located a few kilometres from Pauillac. Built in 1868, it covers an area of 52 hectares. Many changes of ownership have occurred since 1870. In 1965, the new owner of the estate, André Baron undertook an expansion of the vineyard and modernization of the winery and cellar. The vineyard is now operated by Jean-Michel Lapalu.
The Château Lieujean is one of the safest values in Cru Bourgeois. With constant quality, this Haut-Médoc is remarkable from vintage to vintage.
This 2012 vintage has a seductive nose, combining red berries with notes of undergrowth. In the mouth, the touch is harmonious, tannins have a well-coated profile. The winemaking and aging are done in vats and oak barrels, which gives an additional finesse and a slip in the mouth.
